Greetings!

As the weeks and months go by, I think the realisation that this “thing” is not going to go away in a hurry, is becoming obvious.  It is challenging many of us to our deepest core.   Our faith must strengthen during this time to see us to the other side.
I encourage each of you to deepen you walk with the Lord.  The more we pray for our children’s ministers the more we feel that the Lord wants to take each and every one of you to deeper place, the secret place, where you know Him and hear Him more intimately.  Spend time worshipping in your homes.  Church is not the only place the Lord intended for worship.  Our homes should be a place where families experience the wonder of our Lord daily.  Live and practice your faith, with your family.   If you have children, worship Him together.  Teach your children how powerful worship can be.  It lifts our spirits and reminds us of who God is!!
The longer this situation goes on, the more convinced we are that the Lord is using this time to drive us back to family times of sharing our faith and to worship together.  Just a reminder from the Word:
These are the commands, decrees and laws the Lord your God directed me to teach you to observe in the land that you are crossing the Jordan to possess,
so that you, your children and their children after them may fear the Lord your God as long as you live by keeping all his decrees and commands that I give you, and so that you may enjoy long life.

Hear, Israel, and be careful to obey so that it may go well with you and that you may increase greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the Lord, the God of your ancestors, promised you.

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.[a]
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.
Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.

This was addressed the fathers of the Israel nation, but He also spoke to the whole community of believers.  Let’s commit to embracing our children during this time and making sure that they don’t get left behind.
I hope you enjoy your phone call with the children this week.
Many blessings,
The JR Team
